Dear Madam,
Re. TAWU - LIAT DISPUTE IN MATTER OF PAYMENT of EXTENDED HOURS
The Grenada Technical and Allied Workers' Union writes with reference to the above captioned subject matter and further to our meeting with you this morning August 14th at Union Headquarters TAWU House, Green Street, St. George's.
The Union repeats its acute disappointment with the Company's position in respect of a resolution of the issue under reference. We are of the view that LIAT treats its employees and the Union with utter contempt and disregard.
In the circumstances our members wish to register the strongest possible indication of our disgust and frustration by not handling any LIAT flights today with effect from 2:00pm. Workers however will remain at their work stations. Tomorrow and thereafter until further notice employees will work to rule.
The Technical and Allied Workers' Union repeats its position as conveyed in its letter of July 20th, instant.
Respectfully Yours,
Chester A. A. Humphrey(Senator,Hon),
President General
