At a meeting held on the afternoon of August10th 2012, workers of LIAT (1974) Ltd. represented by the Grenada Technical and Allied Workers’ Union, voted to intensify industrial action over the issue of the payment of 3.4 million dollars arising from the Extended Hour Payment and Allowances.

This issue was the cause of industrial action last year and it is again haunting air travel of the Regional Airline into Grenada at Carnival.

The Union anticipates that air travelers using LIAT will be affected but it is left with no alternative as the matter remains unresolved.
